    Healthy interiors

I only use healthy, bio-based materials in the renovation of the spaces, such as hemp and lime-based paints, which are cradle-to-cradle certified and produce healthy, toxic-free interiors which are safe for you and all the family. I use salvaged, second-hand, salvaged items and materials as much as possible. We install ethernet cabling rather than Wifi to reduce the harmful effects of EMF (electric and magnetic fields).

    Locations

I choose properties as much as possible in healthy locations, so surrounded by trees, nature and greenery, with plenty of natural light, in areas with reduced or no pesticide-use, and not near nuclear power plants or electric and magnetic fields (EMF). These have all been found to be harmful to human health. If you would like to see if you live in an area which might be harmful, you can view our free online checker tool here.

    Team

I choose to work as much as possible with female builders and consultants. This is to support women in the construction industry, as currently only 15% of the construction industry workforce in the UK are women, and this needs to change. I work with a range of expert consultants, including architects and surveyors.

    Clare Freeman

My love for property development began in Berlin in 2012 when I purchased and renovated a run-down studio flat with my friend and architect Paola Bagna. We used salvaged materials in the design, such as floorboards which we made in to kitchen cabinets and copper piping for lighting. I then purchased another studio flat in Berlin which we renovated in a similar way. Since I moved back to the UK in 2014 I have purchased several more properties, predominantly studio and one-bed units. Due to the climate emergency, I am passionate about how we can retrofit buildings and build in a way that is kinder and healthier for people and planet. I am Living Future Accredited, the premier credential for regenerative building professionals. I have also completed courses with Healthy Materials Lab and The Alliance for Sustainable Building Products.
